  1. Hi Allison
Further to last month’s meeting and the discussion regarding lighting of the town at night – can we put to Council to fund solar powered LED lights in the trees along the esplanade. Will add to the ambience of the town, such lights are to be found in small towns all over the country and in Melbourne.
    Regards
    Cheryl

    Hi there Allison,
We at the western end of the township are getting fairly worried about the general appearance of the foreshore here, and the approaches to the North Arm Bridge, which are becoming overgrown with small bansia,Boobialla trees and uncut grass.
A good tidy up is urgently needed by whoever is in charge. It would liven up the foreshore, and maybe give us back a water view.Grading along the beach has also converted our lovely
sandy beach to a muddy mess. Will the shire be doing any clean-ups soon?
    Kind regards,
    Coralie

  3. Hi Alison
Delighted to see council are showing their support for our industry with a further study -economic impact this time! Can we do two things. Obtain the list of the variety of infrastructure projects being included and have council actually fund at least one project this 16/17financial year.
The last funded and completed local project to get off the ground was the Apex Park play ground and that was 15/16 budget. Can we enquire the total cost of that direct labour project and when stage 2 is to be completed.
How does the resurfacing at Bullock Island actually tie in with the development plan.
