LEADA is the major force in organising the annual New Years Eve Fireworks on the Foreshore in Lakes Entrance.
Every year, Lakes Entrance attracts approximately 20,000 to view a stunning fireworks display over the Lake Cunningham, near the Footbridge.
New Years Eve is a day of festivities in Lakes Entrance, thanks to the organising committee.
Starting late afternoon are market stalls, food stalls and entertainment on the Foreshore.
This is followed at 9:30 pm with the Family Fireworks. A fantastic display of pyrotechnics, lighting up the Lake and Foreshore. A great time for families to relax on the grass, have a picnic and see in the New Year at a reasonable hour for the kids.
At midnight, another show explodes into life, bringing in the New Year with a dazzling display overhead for those still awake.
Extra hands are always needed, on the night, and during the year when the Fireworks Committee gets together and creates the agenda for the evening of festivities.
