As we approach the end of another year in Lakes Entrance, we’re getting ready for one of the most treasured events in our community—the Annual New Year’s Eve Fireworks Display.

Many of us still remember the disappointment in 2020 when the fireworks had to be cancelled. The community truly felt the loss. For many locals and visitors, the display is more than entertainment—it’s a moment of joy, connection, and tradition. Its absence that year reminded us just how important this event is for the spirit of our town.

Beyond its emotional value, the fireworks bring thousands of visitors to Lakes Entrance. The increased foot traffic during the New Year period provides a valuable boost to accommodation providers, cafés, restaurants, retail stores, and tourism operators. It’s an event that lights up both the sky and our local economy.

To keep this tradition going, we’re reaching out to local businesses for support. We’re seeking donations or sponsorship contributions toward this year’s fireworks display. Any amount—large or small—helps ensure we can deliver a safe, spectacular event that our whole community looks forward to.
